Two Weeks/One Palette: Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette (6/19-7/2)

Image
Good Day Kaye Babes! The time has come to introduce the palette I will be using for the next two weeks and by the title of the blog, I am pretty sure you already know what it is! Back by Popular Demand: The Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette This little puppy was very limited edition once upon a time. I caught mine when they first released it. I was at Ulta at 9 am (even though they open at 10 am) on the release date and they only have 7 palettes to sell. I was one of those lucky 7! Too Faced saw how popular it was and they re-released it, making it a part of their permanent line. It has 18 peach-inspired shades which also has real peach essence in it. It has warm and cool tones and is universally flattering on every skin tone.  I am uber excited to use this palette! Do any of you beauties on this palette? What do you think of it? Let me know below! Okay Kaye Babes, until the next blog, Kaye you Later!

Good Day Kaye Babes! For the past two weeks, I've been using the Morphe Brushes 35B palette and let me tell you that this palette does not (I repeat) DOES NOT disappoint! I love the colors, the pigmentation and the size of this palette. I used most of the colors that were in this palette even though I only took about three pictures. This is a must have in your collection if you love colorful palettes or even if you are just starting to incorporate color into your eye looks! I cannot say enough great things about this palette.  Specifications: This palette retails for $19.99 at  Morphe Brushes  (you can click the name to be taken to the website) It is out of stock at the moment. If you do decide to purchase from their site there are a lot of Youtubers that have promo codes with them so you can save some money. And Morphe Brushes is on Hautelook (this is where I purchased mine) about every 3 months and the cost of the palette was $15. This palette contains 35 eyeshadows wit

How are all my Kaye Babes doing? I hope you guys are having a wonderful week! Let's jump into today's post! For the next two weeks, the palette that I will be using is....... Morphe Brushes 35B palette! Just like all of my previous palettes, this one hasn't been touched at all! It's a couple of swatches but I haven't used this on the eyes. I've had this palette since Sept 2015 when I ordered it off of Hautelook. I know, I know..... I haven't even touched it lol! This is why I am doing this challenge. I need to use the things I have and if I don't like it then I am letting it go!  I can't wait to create beautiful and colorful looks. I won't be posting my lip and cheeks products because they will be switching up daily. I will be wearing bold and neutral colors. I am actually thinking about doing a Colourpop and MAC lippie challenge. More info to come! Tell me, which palette are you choosing for your two weeks/one palette? Let me know b

Two Weeks/One Palette: In Review (Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette)

Image
For the last two weeks I've been using the Two Faced Chocolate Bar palette and now I have formulated a very hefty opinion about it. After playing with this for two weeks, this palette is not for me. I bought it because of the hype (as always)! This is a little too cool-toned for my liking, some of the shadows aren't pigmented enough for me, and the palette was super powdery and chalky. I will be passing this palette along to a co-worker. I think she will like this palette and love on it more than I ever have! Specifications: This palette retails for $49 (still available at Too Faced, Ulta, or Sephora) and includes 16 shades. 14 shadows in the palette are .95g each (total 13.3g) 2 shadows, which are the biggest pans are 2.8g each (total 5.6g) The total weight of the palette is 18.9g. This breaks down to roughly around $2.59 a gram. Packaging: Since I have the OG of the OG my packaging is the classic metal tin, wider than the ones that are out now and the names of the sh

It's that time again where I shop my stash and pick out my weekly makeup. The palette that I will be using for the next two weeks is: (drum roll) You guessed it! It's the chocolate bar palette! I haven't used this palette in a while!! It's a little too cool-toned for my liking but I didn't know what my taste was when I bought this. At that point in my life, I was just buying because 1. I saw everyone talking about, 2. it was just released and I had to have it, and 3. I was wasting money. It has a mixture of shimmer and mattes so I won't have to incorporate many of my shadows to complete a look. Also, I will be including pictures of my face products (which includes highlighters, blushes, and bronzers) and my lip products.  These will be changing weekly.  Since this is a neutral palette and I really want an easy morning routine, I will be incorporating nude blushes and highlighters.   The lippies I will be incorporating into my morning routine are

On May 7, I picked the Anastasia Artist Palette as my palette for the next two weeks. Let me tell you, I could have saved my moolah!! I think it was YouTube who had me all hyped up over it and plus at this time in my makeup journey, I had to have EVERY SINGLE Anastasia palette that came out! (Yes, I was collecting them.) The palette retailed for $30 about two years ago and it includes 12 shades.  The shadows in this palette are straight (dare I say it) trash!! This isn't the formula that we all come to love! You have to take that extra step in your morning routine and apply a white base for the brightest colors to pop! The glitter that are in the shadows does not even stay on the eyes. The swatches below were done several times over. I am not impressed by this palette at all. The most disappointing shadows in this palette are Unicorn, Punch Fushia, and Baby I'm  A Star. The two shades I didn't get a chance to use were Beigely and Coal. I did a week worth of looks from thi

Meet India: Brow Master and Aesthetician

I am all about supporting people who support you, showing love to others and to let them know that I am in their corner! So once a month, I am going to feature some people I support and love on my blog! It's all love over here!  So my K.babes, meet India! I worked with her for almost two years. She is the main reason why I am such an advocate for skincare. She is the one who taught me about different moisturizers, serums and toners. Anytime I needed skincare advice or if my skin was acting crazy, she was my first source!  This is the lovely, beautiful young lady that did my microblading. (Blog post coming soon) I had a sit down with this special lady to pick her brain and here's what came out: (Enjoy!)   Kaye: So, tell the people a little about yourself. India:  My name is India and I'm an Aesthetician. I went to Tn Academy of Cosmetology for the Aesthetics program. I chose to be an Aesthetician because I grew up watching my mom in full glam every day and her skin
