Two Weeks/One Palette: Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette (5/21-6/3)

Image
It's that time again where I shop my stash and pick out my weekly makeup. The palette that I will be using for the next two weeks is: (drum roll) You guessed it! It's the chocolate bar palette! I haven't used this palette in a while!! It's a little too cool-toned for my liking but I didn't know what my taste was when I bought this. At that point in my life, I was just buying because 1. I saw everyone talking about, 2. it was just released and I had to have it, and 3. I was wasting money. It has a mixture of shimmer and mattes so I won't have to incorporate many of my shadows to complete a look. Also, I will be including pictures of my face products (which includes highlighters, blushes, and bronzers) and my lip products.  These will be changing weekly.  Since this is a neutral palette and I really want an easy morning routine, I will be incorporating nude blushes and highlighters.   The lippies I will be incorporating into my morning routine are

Two Weeks/One Palette In Review

On May 7, I picked the Anastasia Artist Palette as my palette for the next two weeks. Let me tell you, I could have saved my moolah!! I think it was YouTube who had me all hyped up over it and plus at this time in my makeup journey, I had to have EVERY SINGLE Anastasia palette that came out! (Yes, I was collecting them.) The palette retailed for $30 about two years ago and it includes 12 shades.  The shadows in this palette are straight (dare I say it) trash!! This isn't the formula that we all come to love! You have to take that extra step in your morning routine and apply a white base for the brightest colors to pop! The glitter that are in the shadows does not even stay on the eyes. The swatches below were done several times over. I am not impressed by this palette at all. The most disappointing shadows in this palette are Unicorn, Punch Fushia, and Baby I'm  A Star. The two shades I didn't get a chance to use were Beigely and Coal. I did a week worth of looks from thi

Meet India: Brow Master and Aesthetician

I am all about supporting people who support you, showing love to others and to let them know that I am in their corner! So once a month, I am going to feature some people I support and love on my blog! It's all love over here!  So my K.babes, meet India! I worked with her for almost two years. She is the main reason why I am such an advocate for skincare. She is the one who taught me about different moisturizers, serums and toners. Anytime I needed skincare advice or if my skin was acting crazy, she was my first source!  This is the lovely, beautiful young lady that did my microblading. (Blog post coming soon) I had a sit down with this special lady to pick her brain and here's what came out: (Enjoy!)   Kaye: So, tell the people a little about yourself. India:  My name is India and I'm an Aesthetician. I went to Tn Academy of Cosmetology for the Aesthetics program. I chose to be an Aesthetician because I grew up watching my mom in full glam every day and her skin

Two Weeks/One Palette: Anastasia Artist Palette (5/7-5/20)

Every Saturday night I have a ritual.  That ritual is to pick out my makeup for the week so it will be easier and faster for me to get ready in the mornings. Usually I leave all of my base products the same until I use them, however I tend to switch my cheek, lips and eye products every week.  Wearing makeup only 5 days a week, I really don't get to use all the shadows that are in a particular palette. So I decided to join some of my instagram friends and start my very own two week/one palette. And so, for the next two weeks I will be using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Artist Palette. I've had this palette for about two years. And as you can see I have only used 5 shadows. The rest of them hasn't been touch! How dare I? I will use this palette for two weeks (I want to use every shade at least once) and at the end of the two weeks I will come back and give you my full review of the palette and some eye looks that I created. Since this was a limited edition palette,I
